Brand Strategy + Design
Brdge was asked to be part of the Interdisciplinary Centennial Lab for Innovation and Technology in Education (ICLITE) at the American University in Cairo, AUC.
The Lab’s mission was to generate projects and initiatives through the development of educational theories, models, and methodologies that will benefit the Egyptian education system.
The core challenge was to ideate about innovative ways on how to deliver existing educational content in a new engaging form based on STEAM education principles of play and gamification for several learning units as a case study to be tested. Further more a concept for a digital platform open to any educator to find additional STEAM education material for their classroom teaching.
We devloped an identity that verbalises and visualises the active and playful philosophy of teaching delivered by the platform.
The concept includes a fully designed UX concept for a Web-application to be used by potential teachers to browse and to include all support units for their class room.
Aside from developing the brand and the platform structure serving all potential units we were part of a team of educators, instructional designers and researchers to develop test-units based on the STEAM education principles.
The chosen cases were. several gamified units of Newton Law, played in teams during the class.
Aside from the game-concept we further developed and documented the User Interface Design System, enabling the platform to launch and to be able to scale straight from the start.
