Manshur is a one-day conference that brings together practitioners and specialists from the creative publishing sector—both regional and international—to explore their practices, experiences, and the unique challenges and opportunities of publishing in our region.

The conference was documented through video recordings and in-depth interviews with speakers, culminating in a forthcoming publication.

Part of the program was a one-day workshop conducted by Prof. Harmsen and Prof. Lange for 30 AUC Design students, focusing on AI and generative systems for idea and visual language generation.

As an additional outcome, Manshur is contributing to the Slanted Magazine Cairo Edition, set for publication later this year by Slanted Publishers—a globally recognized design, publishing, and media house founded in 2014 by Prof. Lars Harmsen and Julia Kahl. Their expertise spans books, magazines, and catalogs of various scales.
