Grawunder Software Engineering is developing Software for the in-vitro-diagnostics industry. Their clients are nearly all blood donation institutes in Germany and Switzerland with plans to expand to Austria and the UK.

The task was to align the visual appearance to this vision by developing a recognisable visual system for all their Software products. The identity is based on a modular typeface inspired by laboratory tools used in the in-vitro-diagnostics. It also reflects the modular nature of the niche-software solutions they are producing.

Another challenge was to develop a design system for all their User Interfaces for tablet usage as most institutes are shifting their laboratories equipment from desktop to tablets. Here fore we developed a UX concept based on one of their products as a case study to see how future products could be executed.

We were asked to develop a concept to test the possibility to shift all Software applications from desktop usage to tablet usage.

The result is a fully documented and tested touch based UI/UX system.
