ccl creative coding lab at the American University in Cairo, AUC is dedicated to advancing the fields of generative art and design in AUC, Egypt and the region by fostering innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and by teaching through the combining of coding and technology.

Our mission is to empower students, researchers, and artists to push the boundaries of artistic expression and design through the use of algorithms, code, and computation.

The below are experiments for the didactical structure of the upcoming Creative Coding for Graphic Designers course at AUC

Programming flexible and modular type is an easy access for students to understand the basics of programming visuals on a given canvas. The shown experiments take the length of a word and divide the letters equally on the width of the canvas, the height is influenced by the amount of words that get distributed in equally high rows.  

Depending on the amount of grid points the form of each letter changes.
